What Is FortuneNext 7.0? A Complete Module Guide

FortuneNext 7.0 is the flagship hotel ERP from IDS Next — one of the most widely deployed hospitality platforms in Asia with 7,500+ properties across 50+ countries. If you are evaluating hotel software and want to understand exactly what each module does before booking a demo, this guide covers all 13+ modules in plain language.

Property Management System (PMS)

The PMS is the core of FortuneNext — the module every hotel needs. It manages the entire front office: creating and modifying reservations, assigning rooms, checking guests in and out, managing folios (guest bills) and running night audit. The PMS is where your front desk staff spend most of their time. FortuneNext PMS includes a visual room rack showing the status of every room in real time, multiple rate plans, multi-currency billing and group reservation management.

Point of Sale (POS)

The POS module manages F&B billing across all your outlets — restaurant, bar, room service, pool bar and banquets. It includes table management with a visual layout, kitchen order ticket (KOT) printing to kitchen stations, steward mobile app for tableside ordering and direct posting of charges to guest room folios. The POS and PMS share a single database — when a guest signs a restaurant bill, the charge appears on their room folio instantly.

Housekeeping Management

The Housekeeping module gives your housekeeping team a mobile app to update room status in real time. The front desk sees clean rooms instantly — no phone calls, no radio communication. The module also manages task assignment, lost and found tracking, minibar consumption recording and linen management. Supervisors can inspect and approve rooms through the app before marking them available for check-in.

Guest Engagement & CRM

The CRM builds a profile for every guest who stays at your property — their room preferences, dietary requirements, special occasions, feedback history and communication preferences. When a returning guest arrives, staff see their complete history and preferences before the check-in conversation begins. The module includes loyalty points management, targeted email and SMS campaigns and automated birthday and anniversary alerts.

Material Management

Material Management handles everything from purchase orders to stock consumption. Define recipes for every menu item — the system calculates food cost in real time as ingredient prices change. The module tracks stock levels, raises reorder alerts and generates daily consumption variance reports that highlight over-consumption, wastage and pilferage. For hotels with F&B, this is the module that protects margins.

Central Reservation System (CRS)

The CRS manages bookings from all channels — OTAs, direct website, phone and walk-in — in one system. It connects with major OTAs via channel manager so availability and rates update across Booking.com, MakeMyTrip, Agoda and others in real time. The CRS also handles group reservations, corporate account management, rate parity monitoring and revenue reporting by booking source.

Sales & Catering

The Sales & Catering module manages your banquet and events business from first enquiry to final billing. It tracks enquiries, manages hall availability (preventing double bookings across multiple function rooms), handles advance deposits, generates event order sheets for all departments and produces final bills. For hotels with wedding and corporate event revenue, this module replaces complex manual tracking.

Spa Management

The Spa module manages appointment booking, therapist scheduling and treatment room allocation. Guest treatment history and therapist preferences are stored against guest profiles. Spa charges post directly to room folios — guests sign at the spa desk and the charge appears on their room bill automatically. The module also tracks retail product sales and calculates therapist commissions.

Finance & Accounts

The Finance module covers the full accounting function — general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, budget vs actual reporting and financial year-end closing. GST compliance is built in — correct rates applied automatically for all transaction types. The module generates MIS reports, P&L by revenue centre and audit-ready accounts.

Analytics & Reports

Every module generates its own reports but the Analytics module provides a unified dashboard across all operations — occupancy, RevPAR, ARR, revenue by segment, F&B performance, housekeeping productivity and financial metrics. Reports are exportable to Excel or PDF. For owners and GMs, this is where management decisions are made.

💡

Not every hotel needs all 13 modules. A budget hotel typically needs PMS + CRS + basic POS. A resort needs PMS + Spa + Activity + multi-outlet POS + CRS. Indus Technologies configures the right module set for your specific property during the discovery call.
