Indus Technologies was born out of a simple belief — that technology should serve people, not the other way around. When our founder S.T.S. Gupta started his IT career in 1997, he learned one fundamental truth: good software only succeeds when the people using it are trained, supported and confident.

Born in Technology
Our founder S.T.S. Gupta began his career in 1987 as a COBOL developer — building enterprise software at a time when most hotels ran on paper ledgers.
Discovered Hospitality
Over the years, he found his calling in the hospitality sector — recognising that hotel owners needed a partner who understood both technology and the unique demands of running a property.
The IDS Partnership
In 2015, Indus Technologies became an authorized IDS Next dealer — bringing FortuneNext to properties across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It was the beginning of something bigger.

Joins IDS Next as Support Head for Andhra Pradesh — responsible for FortuneNext implementations, client training and post-go-live support across hotels and hospitality properties in the state. This is where the deep product expertise begins.
Senior Implementation Lead
After 5 years leading AP state support, takes on a broader implementation leadership role — overseeing end-to-end FortuneNext deployments across multiple property types and building a reputation for meticulous go-live execution.
Indus Technologies Founded
Armed with 13 years of IT experience and 7 years of deep FortuneNext expertise, S.T.S. Gupta establishes Indus Technologies in Hyderabad. Secures the IDS Next authorized dealership for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. First hotel client onboarded within the first month.

Crosses 50 successfully implemented properties across hotels, restaurants and clubs. Expands service portfolio to include accounting setup, GST configuration and financial audit services alongside software implementation.
